Terms of Service
Last updated 16 September 2026 · favicon.tv, operated by BMTCodex
By calling favicon.tv endpoints or using this website, you agree to the terms below. They are deliberately short: use the service fairly, respect the brands whose icons you display, and understand what we do and do not promise.
The service
favicon.tv fetches, caches and serves favicons and brand logos for public domains, in ICO and standard image formats, over HTTP. No account or key is required. Endpoints, sizes and defaults may change as the service evolves.
Fair use
- Cache responses on your side and respect our cache headers.
- Do not re-sell the raw endpoint as your own favicon API.
- Do not use the service to scan, enumerate or attack third-party sites.
- Traffic that threatens stability may be rate-limited or blocked without notice.
Trademarks and icons
Every icon we serve belongs to its owner. favicon.tv claims no rights in them and grants none. You are responsible for displaying a brand's icon in a way that is lawful and non-misleading in your product. On request from an owner, we will stop serving a domain's icon.
Availability and no warranty
The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We aim for high availability and fast global responses, but we do not guarantee uptime, correctness of a returned icon, or that a fallback will always find one.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BMTCodex is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including lost profits or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months — which, on the free tier, is zero.
Suspension and changes
We may suspend access that breaches these terms, and we may change or discontinue endpoints. Material changes to these terms are published here with a new date; continued use after that date means you accept them.
